| Crepe |
|
|
| Crepe became popular in the UK
during the 1950’s as an alternative to leather or harder material-soled
footwear. Popularized by the “Teddy Boys” with their fingertip
jackets and drainpipe trousers, crepe made its’ way into American
footwear by the early 1960’s due to its’ slip-resistance and
shock absorbance. |
